23andMe to Use Genetic Database for Drug Discovery – WSJ:

23andMe Inc., the personal genetics company, has sold enough DNA spit kits to accumulate genetic information on 850,000 customers. Now it plans to mine that database for drug targets, and it has picked a star drug developer to lead the effort.

*There could be a huge transformation in medicine in the near future (5-10 years).

*What caught my eye in this is that it might be possible to have radiologists wear an eye tracking device that measures eye movements. Pause locations would be rechecked if on first inspection the radiologist decides there isn’t a problem that crosses their arbitrary threshold.
