Thought it might be worth documenting how a Lanyrd email from a few days ago became my path to awareness about the Kalamazoo X Conference (Saturday, April 21, 2012). Lanyrd is a way to see which of your online (and possibly real) friends are attending or speaking at an event.

Today, Friday December 31, 2010 there was a breakfast tweetup in Eastern Market (Detroit, MI). We met at Zeff’s Coney Island around 9 AM.

Think that’s everyone.
Some of use were there until noon or 1pm. Don’t recall the actual time the four of us left. We headed to the R. Hirt Jr. Co. and Cost Plus Wine Shoppe.

This past Sunday there was an end of the year Ferndale WordPress Meetup event. We met up at the Black Lotus in Clawson, Michigan. There were 10 attendees by my count.
There were some new faces as well as some familiar ones. Hopefully in the new year we can get to know one another better. The closer we become and the more connected the better we have the resources to increase our effective use of WordPress as a content management system (CMS).
